A Case of Sinus Pericranii



Abstract
Sinus pericranii is a rare and specific type of hernangioma of the pericraniuit in which one or more emissary vessels connect with large intracranial sinus through abnormal foramina in the skull. The tumor is soft compressible and pulsation mass and then increased in size when venous pressure in the head is raised by the coughing, straining and lowering the head.
The tumor appears early in life and may enlarge slowly over the life. This case is sinus pericranii which developed in the right occipital region of the 20 years old Korean soldier for past his life.
This tumor was surgical excised and then as cranioplasty with resin plate on the defect area. Complete cure was obtained.
